So, do you want in?

(Peter here) Here’s my end of year reflections, confessions, and offer.

Reflections

In 2018, we launched a rock gym in a church basement. 2020, a second location downtown. 2021, a third location in Crocker Park. 2024, we built a climbing wall for the Toledo Zoo, and that funded our biggest accomplishment. This year, we took everything learned to build our nicest gym yet.

Confessions

Social media feeds me too many business videos. Yesterday I was devising a plan to open a chain of gyms at a $100M valuation. Then I thought about the last message my mom texted me before she died: “You’re working too hard. Slow down”. I’ve been haunted by this. What if I’m sprinting 100mph in the wrong direction? I asked my business friends for a coach recommendation. “Keith Hileman”. Okay; I scheduled the intro call. “What’s your vision?”. I said I don’t know. He said, “That’s a problem. What’s your frustration?” I said I’m tired of coming home exhausted. He said, “A frustration is just the opposite of a vision. So if you’re tired of coming home exhausted, your vision is ‘I will come home with energy’… Now we’ll make a plan”. 🤯 This guy gave me a vision in 20 minutes. I felt the value and asked the investment. $500/mo. I said not in the budget, but let me think of a solution. He told me to read a book before we speak again. This guy.

Offer

I read the book. It said: low-performers don’t get things done and high-performers get things done, but meta-performers ask: What am I capable of? So, a high-performer thinks, “How can I make more money?”, a meta-performer thinks, “How can I make everyone more money?”. This fires me up because I work harder when people depend on me. I pitched Keith: “If I invite 10 people to a group for $50 each, I can afford to get your info, and pass it to them for a tenth of the price”. Keith said sure.

So, do you want in? The difference between a book and a coach is a book doesn’t kick you in the butt. I read that book because I knew Keith would ask. This group will work similarly. If you’re stuck in a hole and need a push, if you’re stuck in a job and need to start a side hustle, or if you need a vision, we’ll get better together. I’ll be taking notes from Keith and turn them into systems for you. I’m incentivized to make this good or else I’m stuck with a $500 monthly bill. We’ll start in January and meet twice a month. You can choose between in-person at the gym, or Zoom. If you don’t like it month 1, you can get a refund. We’ll vote on a time once sign-ups roll in.

Step 1: Email me if you have questions.

Step 2: If there’s room, grab a spot for $50/mo. (Refundable if timing or group doesn’t work)

Step 3: You’ll get a link to our group chat.
