🙋 FAQ

• Do kids need experience? Nope. Most of our kids start as complete beginners.

• Is climbing safe? Yes. Our padded floors, trained coaches, and fall-technique instruction make climbing one of the safest sports kids can try.

• What if my child is afraid of heights? Our walls are 15 feet tall with thick padding underneath. No ropes or harnesses are required. We also teach every child how to fall safely.

• Does my child need to be strong already? Not at all. Climbing is more about good footwork and technique. Strength comes with practice, and we’ll teach everything step by step.

• What happens on the first day? We set kids up for success. Coaches learn names, ask questions, introduce kids to each other, and help them conquer a climb on day one so they leave feeling accomplished.

• What happens in a typical class? Each session includes warm-ups, skill building, fun games, personal challenges, and lots of encouragement.

• What if my child misses a class? Life happens. Just join the next one — no penalty.

• Can parents drop off kids at classes? Yes. You can drop off kids if they can follow directions. If behavior becomes an issue, we’ll ask you to step back in.

• Can kids climb alone on non-class days? It depends on age. Ages 6-14 need a guardian present. Ages 15-17 can climb on their own, given they’re responsible.

• Can parents stay and watch? Absolutely. We have a lounge with Wi-Fi and a printer, or you can relax while your child climbs.

• What should my child bring? Kids can climb in school clothes. We have a water fountain. Climbing shoes are included free for the first month on class days, and can be rented or purchased after that or on non-class days.

• Do kids get a membership, too? Yes. Your child’s membership includes unlimited access to climbing, weights, and our workspace every day we’re open.

• Can my child bring a friend on non-class days? Yes. They get one free guest pass per day for first-time friends. Again, ages 14 and below need a guardian.

• Where are you located? 13000 Athens Ave, Lakewood — in the Lakewood Screw Factory, ground level, east side entrance (behind Madison Park).

• Where do I park? We have 150 parking spots right outside our door — no circling the block.

• How much does it cost? $149/month, billed automatically on the 1st. Includes all classes and full membership. Cancel anytime.
